Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Summary

We want you to be confident before you pay us. In short:

  • The ₹99 founding-family reservation is refundable within 7 days if you change your mind, no reason needed.
  • Wallet recharges are refundable within 7 days for the unused balance, minus the cost of any calls already placed.
  • Cancelling a scheduled reminder is always free and never charged.
  • Closing your account refunds your unused wallet balance, less reasonable processing costs.

2. The demo call (₹99 founding-family reservation)

The ₹99 charge on our demand-test landing page reserves a “founding family” spot, which gives you priority onboarding and a launch discount when the full product ships.

  • If you change your mind within 7 days of paying, email hello@calltoremind.com with the phone number you paid from. We will refund the full ₹99 to the original payment method.
  • After 7 days, the ₹99 is non-refundable, but it remains valid as a credit toward your first wallet recharge once the full product launches.
  • If we decide not to launch the full product, we will refund the ₹99 in full to every reservation holder, automatically, without you needing to ask.

3. Wallet recharges

Recharges add a prepaid balance to your account. Calls are deducted from this balance only when they succeed (i.e. the call is answered, or the final retry is reached and notified). Failed retries are not charged.

  • Wallet balance does not expire while your account is active.
  • You can request a refund of the unused portion of your wallet balance at any time, for any reason, within 90 days of the recharge.
  • For requests after 90 days, refunds are at our reasonable discretion, but in practice we honour them unless the account has been suspended for abuse.

Recharges are non-refundable on the portion that has already been consumed by successful calls.

4. Cancelling a scheduled reminder

You can cancel any individual reminder, or pause / delete a recipient, at any time from the app. There is no cost to cancel a reminder. If a reminder is cancelled before its scheduled time, no call is placed and nothing is deducted from your wallet.

5. Cancelling your account

Open Settings → Delete Account in the app. All reminders stop immediately. Any unused wallet balance is refundable per Section 6.

6. When we will refund

We will refund:

  • The ₹99 reservation, in full, if requested within 7 days.
  • The ₹99 reservation, in full, automatically, if we decide not to launch.
  • Unused wallet balance, at the user’s request, within 90 days.
  • Any amount mistakenly charged (e.g. duplicate transaction, technical glitch).
  • The full charge for any call that failed to connect on all retry attempts (this is automatic — you should not be charged for these in the first place, but if you spot one, tell us).

We will not refund:

  • The cost of calls that were placed and answered, even if the recipient did not act on the reminder.
  • Wallet balance on accounts that have been suspended for violation of the Terms of Use (fraud, abuse, illegal use).
  • Charges older than 12 months at the time of request, except where required by law.

7. How to request a refund

Email hello@calltoremind.com with:

  • The phone number on the account.
  • The transaction ID or approximate date of payment.
  • A one-line reason (helps us improve, not required for approval).

You may also write from the app: Settings → Help → Request refund.

8. Time to process

Once approved, refunds are issued via the original payment method (Razorpay or Stripe). Bank settlement times depend on your card or UPI issuer:

  • UPI: usually within 3 working days.
  • Indian credit/debit cards: 5–7 working days.
  • International cards: 7–14 working days.

We will email you a confirmation when the refund is initiated, with the reference ID from the payment processor.

9. Chargebacks

Please contact us first — we will almost always resolve the issue directly and faster than a chargeback would. Filing a chargeback before contacting us may result in the account being suspended pending resolution, because Razorpay / Stripe require us to investigate.
